Before joining, you and your furry friend will have to take part in a Day Care assessment (3 hour assessment charged at £25) to make sure they (and the other doggy’s) are completely happy and safe at Wagatails! We only accept social dogs with proof of up to date vaccinations and males must be neutered; this will give us all peace of mind!!

 

Q: Are you insured to care for and walk dogs professionally?
A: Yes. Wagatails is insured to professionally walk and care for all pets. We are insured with specialist Dog Day Care insurers. You can see our certificate in reception.

Q: Are you licensed?
A: Yes. 21/00352/ABEST

 

Wagatails has obtained all relevant licenses, which includes the South Staffordshire, Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018. Part of achieving this licence is having a full inspection undertaken by the local authority.

Q: Can I meet the team and see the facilities before sending my dog? 
A: Yes. We only do meet and greets on a Saturday. We cannot allow people or un assessed dogs on site while we have clients dogs on site.

Q: Will my dog be supervised at all times?
A: Yes. Your dog will always be supervised by one of our team

Q: What happens when it rains or is too cold for my dog to be outside?
A: We have a 3200sq feet indoor area which is heated in winter. 

 

Q: I have a puppy, can he or she come to the Day Care Centre? 
A: Yes. Wagatails always welcomes new puppies to our lovely centre! The day care centre is the perfect environment for your puppy to grow and socialise. We can only take from 12 weeks. And must be cleared by vet to mix with other dogs. 

Q: What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog? 
A: We only accepting social dogs so the chances that your little one will not get on with another dog are very slim! However, if one of team spots this, then of course, we will split them.

Q: Do you only accept well-trained dogs? 
A: We do not train dogs/ we are not dog trainers. 

Q: What happens in an emergency?
A: We will call you immediately to discuss. If we can’t get hold of you and urgent medical attention is required, we will take your dog to your nominated veterinary practice or, depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice.

Q: Do you offer any overnight accommodation?
A: No, but we do offer a pet sitting service. Please get in touch to find out more.

Q: Do you offer day care on the weekends and bank holidays? 
A: Wagatails only operates from Monday-Friday and this does not include Bank Holidays.
